What you'll do

This is a client facing role where you'll be dealing day to day with both external and internal stakeholders. You'll be supporting Agency Relationship Managers on syndicated loan transactions, primarily focused on existing deals, but also increasingly on new transactions. The role involves working as an agent in leading syndicates, managing restructuring and working with lawyers, lenders and borrowers.

You'll support lenders in relation to commercial, legal and technical issues arising under the syndicated facility. You'll also be participating in projects to improve the way we work and the client service we provide.

Your work will involve:

  • Providing transaction management and co-ordination services to originators, borrowers, lenders and export credit agencies in respect of syndicated loans
  • Reviewing draft loan documentation prior to financial close
  • Supporting the facilitation of waivers and amendments
  • Monitoring borrower compliance with facility terms and conditions
  • Taking a proactive approach to risk management and always working in line with our policies and code of values

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with corporate client facing experience, excellent interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail. You'll need some knowledge of the Libor lending business, and the enthusiasm to keep developing your expertise in this area.

We'll look to you to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
  • The ability to understand and interpret complex transaction documents and communicate this to Borrowers, Lenders and Lawyers
  • A proactive approach with the enthusiasm to contribute to improvement ideas and initiatives
  • Good analytical and reasoning skills
  • Accuracy and consistency in your work and the ability to produce quality work to deadlines

Technical Knowledge around Wall Street payment systems and Loan IQ would also be an advantage.
