The Business

We're looking for a Business Lending Assistant to join us in Brighton

  • Join and support our dedicated Relationship Manager team
  • Working in a dynamic customer facing environment, you’ll utilise your skills and experience to develop close and personalised business relationships
  • You'll support our customers’ ambitions by delivering business expertise and making things simple

What you'll do

You'll be responsible for providing support to Relationship Managers in a role that spans across telephony, customer service, new deals and lending support.

This will involve:

  • Working closely with Relationship Managers to fully implement new deals in line with Business Banking “One Best Way” in order to complete loan drawdowns in line with customers’ request
  • Delivering excellent customer service through effective implementation of the bank's credit and service processes, placing the customer at the heart of everything we do
  • Providing support to Relationship Managers across the UK for both RBS and NatWest

The skills you'll need

As a Business Lending Assistant, you'll have an understanding of a range of products, and the ability to identify suitable solutions based on individual customer needs. While knowledge of credit and account opening processes – including Know Your Customer and Know Your Business – aren’t necessary, they may be an advantage.

You'll also demonstrate:

  • Strong interpersonal skills as you'll build networks both internally and externally in order to achieve growth and win new business in a competitive market
  • The ability to plan, organise and manage your time effectively under pressure
  • Integrity, and you'll share our focus on delivering fair outcomes for our customers
