The Business

We're looking for a Telesales Adviser to join us in Crawley

  • If you possess great communication skills honed in a sales environment, this is an opportunity to take on a new challenge in our Mentor team, within Commercial & Private Banking
  • You'll be delivering a high quality customer service and telephony experience to new and existing business customers, concentrating on a high volume of business to business calls
  • You'll have the opportunity to really get to know the Mentor business, and you'll be developing your customer service and telephony expertise in a vibrant, supportive and professional team

What you'll do

Working standard office hours, you'll be engaging with customers by telephone, making outbound calls to promote Mentor services. There will also be occasional opportunities to manage some inbound calls and to execute smaller sales.

There'll be a high volume of calls and a strong focus on targets, which will give you the opportunity to demonstrate what you can achieve through ethical sales.

Day-to-day, you'll be:

  • Generating leads for our Mentor field team through excellent customer service, in line with our business' values and guidelines
  • Providing a first class telephony service
  • Laying the grounds for productive and trusting relationships with our customers, based on a thorough understanding of their business needs 
  • Developing your knowledge of Mentor services, with full training provided to support you with this
  • Ensuring that new business and queries are handled and logged in a timely and professional manner

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with outbound call centre experience, tenacity and a successful customer services background.

You'll also need to have:

  • Excellent and adaptable communication skills - both verbal and written
  • The ability to build relationships with customers, clearly articulate the services we offer, and drive ethical sales
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and computer literacy
  • The enthusiasm to continue developing yourself in this area
  • The ability to work productively as part of a team, and adapt to changing circumstances
