What you'll do

You’ll support with the provision of timely, reliable, and insightful financial support that will drive senior and executive financial and commercial discussions.

You’ll also develop and maintain professional effective relationships with customers, stakeholders and colleagues at all levels, while delivering reporting such as financial and portfolio reporting and provide commentary explaining data movements and the outlook for the future periods.

You’ll also:

  • Actively provide value adding expert services, including advice across strategic reviews, investment appraisals and performance monitoring
  • Work with the business partners or senior business partners to draw out actionable insight
  • Regularly manage the end-to-end delivery of requested financial projects and analysis, including inception discussions with business partners
  • Actively work with internal customers and business partners to identify opportunities for cost efficiencies through the production and analysis of available MI
  • Provide robust analytical support and commercial insight to the business

The skills you'll need

You’ll hold a professional accountancy qualification, or other relevant professional qualifications or comparable, relevant work experience history, and a finance professional, or MBA equivalent.

You’ll also need:

  • Strong experience in either the Corporate Finance, Restructuring or similar complex banking environment
  • Proven hands on experience with analytical or database querying software such as SQL, SAS, R or Python, as well as data visualisation software, big data environments or using cloud environments for analysis
  • Proven data analytics capability, including advanced use of MS Excel and other MI toolsets
  • Proven experience in the interpretation and presentation of financial analysis, credit, capital, modelling and provisioning knowledge and the effective use of presenting that info using your advanced use MS PowerPoint skills
  • Great stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills to lead initiatives and deliver excellent support 
  • Demonstrable appetite for detail and delivery orientation
  • An analytical and enquiring nature and skillset, with good problem solving skills
  • Technical knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and modelling
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
